Warts derive from HPV – Human Papilloma Virus.

When the wart is obvious the virus is active. However, whatever method of removal is used and the result appears satisfactory the virus is still in your body and can be dormant for some time, but can suddenly resurface.

The aim is to remove lesion with a good visible outcome. Recurrence of the treated lesion is possible and complete removal of the lesion is not guaranteed. In case of hand and foot viral warts one treatment may not be sufficient. Up to eight treatments may be required at three weekly intervals and clearance cannot be guaranteed.
